Wirral Golf Club was founded in 1894.

Many other golf clubs spread around Great Britain, who were established in the same year, have agreed to celebrate their shared beginnings and offer Full Playing Members the opportunity to play at the other courses in the 1894 Association once a year for free (Monday-Friday).
